Dressed To Win

I wrote this article a long time ago but haven't been able to post it early because it was always left unfinished by the end of the day. Finally, it's done.

This is about my share of thanking Jed Sevilla for dressing up Arceli Bullos during her performance on the Final Nights of the 2008 Cebu Pop Music Festival. Jed Sevilla is a very well-known Cebuano fashion designer and is very talented. He is truly gifted.

When Jed learned that we wanted him to design the gown that Arceli will be wearing, he immediately sketched a design. When he met Arceli, he asked her to sing the song. He changed his mind when he heard the song, so while Arceli was singing, Jed took his sketch pad was and busy sketching. By the end of the song, Jed crumpled the previous design he made and showed the new design he made based on the song. That is how he works. Jed said he usually gets his design and inspiration based on the song. Apart from that, because the song inspired him very much, he gave us an incredible discount. Indeed the gown was marvelous especially on Arcelis tall and slender body. The sight of Arceli wearing the gown was awesome. The beautiful Arceli and the exquisitely designed gown complemented each other. Before we parted Jed even predicted that Arceli, and the song she will be interpreting will win the competition. He was not mistaken. Arceli, interpreting the song "Bisan Pa" won the second prize. Thank You Jed.
